Great Wolf Lodge – Review and Discounts
Back in April we visited the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg Virginia and we had an absolute blast! Since then we have been dying to get back and finally had our opportunity during homeschooling week where we were able to get the two bedroom Majestic Bear suite for the price of a regular family room due to the deep discounts they were offering to home schoolers.
Having done MagiQuest, and completed all of the quests, last time we were there we moved on to Compass Quest with the girls. They loved it but each of the quests are timed which had them scurrying from floor to floor and place to place to collect the various items. The final task being a mental challenge to remember all of the places that you visited, figure out the seemingly random correct order and then visit them in 15 minutes. The kids loved it and for the parents you can skip the gym because the up and down of the various flights of stairs is a real workout, but well worth it.
The weather was nice so we took in a round of Howl in One™ Mini Golf that winds you under the Howling Tornado outside of the water park. At night when the park is closed and things are winding down there are still some things to do. Our favorite place is the Northern Lights™ Arcade! But this time around there was a new activity open late, bowling. They have a bowling alley with smaller kid sized lanes, it made me feel like a giant, but it was tons of fun. There was also a button for the bumpers so they could come up for my 6-year-old but go down for the rest of us.
This time around we also decided to let the girls spend some time in Scoops Kids Spa. They each got a manicure and pedicure and were treated like princess. I will admit the price is a little steep but we saved so much on the room we had some left over to treat them with. They chose their own nail polish, which they were able to keep, got manicured while sitting on an ice cream cone and their pedicure took place on a giant sundae sofa. They were in heaven.
Another final new addition and a great way to end the day at Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg is with an ice cream from the ice cream serving robot down by the Bear Paw Sweets & Eats. You choose your ice cream flavors, toppings/fillings and then let the robot do its magic.
In the end you get a huge 14oz of ice cream!
We did all this in just four days and three nights and for less than $1000! This place is truly amazing.
