What I Did on My Summer Vacation

We just got back from our summer vacation in the Pocano Mountains. It was a pretty good time. My sister and I got to spend some quality time together. We stayed on a lake and Seda got to go out in a row boat with Papa! I caught a bass and I have a picture to prove it. There was a pool at a rec center but the day we went it was thundering so we could not go swimming and then we didn’t end up getting back there, we were having too much fun with the lake and fishing.
The most exciting thing that happened was when I was trying to get a kite in the air. Will yelled to me “Run like an idiot.” in a joking tone, to which I replied “OK” so I took off across the front yard and ran right into a drainage ditch and twisted my ankle. I was so convinced that I had broken it but it was just a major sprain.
We left Seda with everyone back at the house and then went to the closest hospital, about 30 min. North. I was put in a wheel chair and taken back. After about 30 min. in the wheel chair I noticed that there was dried blood on it, and not just a little, it was sooooo gross. Also the wouldn’t let Sage and Will back with me until after I was examined so I could hear poor hungry Sage crying in the waiting room for a half an hour. I found myself wishing I was back home at our nice clean local hospital. Finaly after they had looked at it and I had been x-rayed they let them back. By this time Sage was ravenous and I tried to nurse her while the lady fitted the air cast and then in between her adjustments on the crutches. It was quite frustrating. I feel bad because today is Will’s birthday and I can’t do to much. He is pretty much responsible for the kids because I can’t walk.

Glad to hear you had a good time fishing, and yes I do have the picture to prove it. I will send it over to you.

    Dad.
