Breastfeeding Rights Bill Introduced in Pennsylvania

A breastfeeding rights bill was introduced into the Pennsylvania house of representatives on June 29th. This bill would legaly protect women who were breastfeeding in public.

A mother has a right to breastfeed her child in any location, public or private, where the mother and child are otherwise authorized to be present, irrespective of whether or not the mother’s breast is covered during or incidental to the breastfeeding.

The full text of the bill can be found at http://www.legis.state.pa.us/WU01/LI/BI/BT/2005/0/HB1822P2424.HTM

There are several states that all ready have similar laws on the books. Hopefully this will pass. I am urging everyone who lives in Pennsylvania to contact their representative and ask them to support this bill.
