Today is the day, the big weigh-in at Tony Luke’s. I’ve joined up with 8 other Philly Social Media Moms in a challenge to lose weight with DietBet! Tonight we’re going to meet up and get weighed. The goal of our DietBet is to lose weight, the goal weight is 4% of our body weight to be precise, over the next four weeks. I’m super excited about this challenge because I think this is just the kick in the but I’ve been needing to lose weight.
The way DietBet works is that every player puts in money, the host determines the length of the bet and the percentage of weight to be lost and the prize. The winners are those people in the group who reach their goal weight by the end of the designated time, if more than one person succeeds all the winners split the pool. DietBet.com allows us to track our progress, motivate (or taunt) each other and generally keep on top of our weight loss. We can use whatever method we would like to lose weight the important thing is to hit the goal weight at the end of 4 weeks.
Just recently I switched to a paleo/primal way of eating. Lots of healthy fats high in omega3, meat, and veggies. No bad carbohydrates like flour, grains, sugar etc… Although the DietBet goal weight is nowhere near my overall goal weight it’s a great start. I’ve been doing great and lost some weight all ready so I’m looking forward to keeping up that style of eating, continuing to lose weight and hopefully winning the DietBet.
