It is indeed a trivet. It was my grandparents and I remember it being on their kitchen table all the time when I was a child. I was lucky enough to have it handed down to me when they passed. This owl lives in my kitchen and reminds me of them when I look at it.
I LOVE owls… and the squash in the foreground is making me hungry!
